Job Summary
Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facility while teaching assigned course loads, including preparation and instruction of clinical laboratory sessions. Clarify daily expectations with students and facility staff, make patient assignments meeting clinical objectives, and direct students in data collection and integration into paperwork. Coordinate daily plans with clinical sites to observe, instruct, and evaluate students; conduct pre-conferences, direct post-conferences, and provide immediate feedback on clinical performance. Evaluate student progress weekly, offer resources to ensure critical thinking through the nursing process, and ensure safety protocols are followed during lab instruction. Requires an active RN or LVN license in California, current functional abilities for classroom and clinical teaching, and immediate start availability.
Required Qualifications
- Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse - current active license in the state of California
- RN with A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- five years' experience in the specialty field
- LVN with AA or AS degree
- 6 years experience (for LVN)
- BA or BS with 2 years experience required (any type of degree) (for RN)
- Sat & Sun AM or PM 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- 16 hours
- Must be able to start immediately
- Travel is required
