Job Summary
Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facility while teaching assigned course loads, including preparation for and instruction of clinical laboratory sessions. Clarify daily expectations with students during pre-conferences and coordinate daily plans with clinical sites to observe, instruct, and evaluate learners. Direct students in data collection and integration into clinical paperwork, then provide immediate feedback following skill observations and weekly progress evaluations. Oversee laboratory sessions to ensure safety protocols are followed and foster a supportive learning environment. Requires an active California RN or LVN license, with RNs earning $50/hour and LVNs $45/hour for 16–32 hours on Mon/Tues, Wed/Thurs, or Sat/Sun. Must start immediately and travel is required.
Required Qualifications
- Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse - current active license in the state of California
- RN with A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- five years' experience in the specialty field
- 1 year of experience as a Clinical Instructor
- LVN with AA or AS degree
- 6 years experience (for LVN)
- BA or BS with 2 years experience required (any type of degree) (for RN with AA/AS)
- Mon & Tues or Wed & Thurs or Sat & Sun AM or PM
- 16 to 32 hours
- Must be able to start immediately
- Travel is required
