Job Summary
Adjunct RN Faculty position at Grand Canyon University in Denver, CO. Responsible for reinforcing didactic content and teaching knowledge/skills for pre-licensure nursing, observing student performance during clinical rotations, collaborating with faculty to evaluate and document progress toward clinical objectives, participating in grading written and clinical performance check-offs, maintaining accreditation-related requirements, and upholding nursing and university values. Travel to GCU student sites within the Denver area is required. Requires MSN preferred or BSN with graduate-level credits or equivalent certification, 2 years of clinical nursing experience, an active multi-state RN license, and successful completion of drug and competency testing. Strong communication and relationship-building with students are essential, along with adherence to the university's mission and Doctrinal Statement.
Required Qualifications
- MSN Preferred.
- BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR Approved national certification related to the content area being taught.
- 2 years' recent clinical work experience in nursing.
- Active, current, unencumbered RN license; multi-state (compact).
- Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
