Job Summary
Adjunct Professor for the Vocational Nursing (LVN) program taught on Collin College campuses. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering discipline-appropriate coursework, adhering to approved curricula and syllabi, teaching on-site at campus locations (Allen, McKinney, and Wylie) with possible evening/weekend duties, and ensuring compliance with college policies and core values. Teach courses across multiple campuses, potentially include Dual Credit offerings, and perform related duties as assigned. Requires an Associate degree or higher and a current Texas LVN/RN license; teaching experience is preferred and transcripts/licenses must be attached. This is an in-person, part-time role with no remote work except under narrowly defined circumstances per law; a criminal background check is required due to Security Sensitive designation.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in discipline/ qualifying field
- Current license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or a Registered Nurse in Texas
- Teaching experience is desired
- Note to all Applicants: Conferred transcripts, licenses, and certifications MUST be attached to the application
- This position is Security Sensitive, therefore candidates will be subject to a criminal background check
- If selected for a dual credit course(s), an additional background check requiring fingerprinting with the TX DPS will be required from the assigned ISD
