Job Summary
Teach undergraduate Genetics lecture and corresponding lab at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS, delivering lecture and lab sessions on inheritance with molecular, cytological, and population perspectives; develop syllabi, lectures, labs, and assessments aligned with course outcomes; ensure student safety during lab sessions; integrate current literature and real-world genetics applications; address the intersection of genetics and Christian faith within the curriculum; respond to student inquiries and provide constructive feedback; part-time, in-person instruction with courses offered Mondays/Thursdays and Tuesdays, travel to MNU as needed; qualified applicants hold a Ph.D. or Master's in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field, and demonstrate a commitment to Christian faith and a Christian worldview in teaching; strong communication and engagement with diverse learners.
Required Qualifications
- Earned Doctorate (Ph.D.) or Master's degree (M.S. or M.A.) in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
- Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with the University's statement of faith
- Ability to teach from within a Christian worldview framework without compromising academic rigor or scientific integrity
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse learners effectively
