Adjunct Professor - Mathematics

Job Summary
Teach courses such as Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Math for Critical Thinking, Finite Mathematics, Precalculus, and possibly Calculus I, utilizing established departmental syllabi. Provide timely access to students via electronic communication, evaluate their progress against course objectives, and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. Be available outside the classroom for student support and submit required paperwork promptly. Opportunities are available in both daytime and evening formats. Applicants must hold a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics and demonstrate expertise in current instructional pedagogy. This role supports HCU's mission to cultivate leaders who think biblically, critically, and holistically within a Christian liberal arts environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics
- Ability to teach most freshman level mathematics courses
- Demonstrate expertise in appropriate and current instructional pedagogy
- Share an active Christian faith
- Support and personify the Preamble to the By-Laws of the University, Scripture and a Christian Worldview, and the Ten Pillars Core Convictions of HCU
- Submit a background check form authorizing screening
