Job Summary
Adjunct Professor in Applied Voice and Musical Theatre Performance teaching on-campus at St. Edward's University. Responsibilities include teaching Applied Voice to up to 10 students per course for Fall 2026, conducting ten 30-minute lessons per student over a 15-week semester, participating in 2–3 Voice Studio classes, attending and evaluating final voice juries, and coordinating with Musical Theatre faculty on student progress. The THAR 3320 course will be taught in Fall 2026 with one section. Responsibilities also include providing feedback and assessment of student work, participating in departmental assessment and grading, and adhering to curricular guidelines. The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience), demonstrated success teaching voice and/or musical theatre, experience with college-aged performers, and the ability to teach and mentor students with varied vocal and performance experience. Courses are conducted on the St. Edward's campus with flexible scheduling for lessons (friday meetings noted for THAR 3320). Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Vocal Performance, Musical Theatre, Theatre, Music, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Demonstrated success teaching voice and/or musical theatre performance
- Experience working with college-aged performers
- Professional experience in musical theatre performance, directing, music direction, vocal coaching, or related fields
- Ability to teach and mentor students with varied levels of vocal and performance experience
