Job Summary
Teach Government/Political Science courses at Collin College campuses in Texas on-site/in-person. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering coursework aligned with approved course descriptions and syllabi, meeting professional standards, and possibly teaching on multiple campuses or off-site locations with possible evening and weekend programs. Requires a Master's degree with eighteen graduate hours in the discipline, teaching experience preferred, and completion of background checks and transcript attachments. This role is designated for in-person work with no online instruction at this time except under narrowly defined statutory exceptions. Applicants should expect on-site duties and may be required to obtain additional background checks for dual credit courses.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Academic preparation in teaching field with eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the discipline to be taught
- Teaching experience is desired
- This position is designated as Security Sensitive and requires criminal background checks
- Transcripts must be attached to application
- In-person work at campus or location; remote arrangements not permitted except per specific law-defined exceptions
- Ability to teach courses per schedule and follow approved syllabi; duties may be on multiple campuses or off-site; evening/weekend programs may be required
