Job Summary
Conduct English Literature and Freshman Composition courses using established departmental syllabi and guidelines. Provide timely access to students through personal consultations and electronic communication while evaluating progress against course objectives. Submit grades and required forms promptly and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. Demonstrate enthusiasm for the classical liberal arts core curriculum within a Christian worldview. Submit applications indicating acceptance of the university's core convictions and Christian faith as an essential function of employment.
Required Qualifications
- MA, MFA, or PhD in English Literature, Creative Writing, or Composition and Rhetoric
- Ability to teach courses in English Literature and Composition from a Christian worldview
- Demonstration of enthusiasm for the classical liberal arts core curriculum
- Acceptance and affirmation of the university's 'Ten Pillars' core convictions
- Support and personification of the statement of belief regarding 'Scripture and a Christian Worldview'
- Submission of a background check form authorizing screening
