Job Summary
Utilize a course syllabus following established departmental and institutional guidelines. Provide timely, quality access to students via electronic communication and other appropriate methods. Evaluate students by established means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform them of their progress. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. Submit paperwork and forms in a timely fashion. Be available to students outside of the classroom. Perform other duties as needed. The Department of Chemistry at Houston Christian University offers both daytime and evening adjunct opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in chemistry
- at least 18 graduate semester hours in chemistry
- Ability to teach introductory chemistry lecture and laboratories
- Ability to teach general chemistry lectures and laboratories
- Acceptance and affirmation of the Preamble to the By-Laws of the University, Scripture and a Christian Worldview, and the Ten Pillars Core Convictions of HCU
- Background check authorization
Desired Qualifications
