Job Summary
Utilize a course syllabus to deliver lectures and laboratory sessions in introductory biology, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, and general biology. Provide timely electronic communication with students and evaluate their progress against established course objectives. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community while remaining available outside the classroom. Submit paperwork and forms in a timely fashion. The Department of Biology at Houston Christian University offers both daytime and evening adjunct opportunities on a semester-by-semester basis. Applicants must possess a master's degree in biology with 18 graduate semester hours, with a doctorate preferred.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of a master's degree in biology
- at least 18 graduate semester hours in biology
- willing to teach on a part-time basis
- available to students outside of the classroom
- acceptance and affirmation of the Preamble to the By-Laws of the University, Scripture and a Christian Worldview, and the Ten Pillars Core Convictions of HCU
- submit a background check form authorizing screening
