Adjunct Pool Political Science Instructor

Job Summary
Teach assigned Political Science courses, including day, night, and online classes at the main campus and extension centers, while maintaining an effective learning environment that maximizes student success. Prepare and submit reports related to student learning, grade assignments meaningfully, and return graded work to students in a timely manner. Provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment and encourage student opinion survey completion to assist with increasing student success. Maintain professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training, and perform other duties as assigned. Classes meet on time for the full allotted time in a normal office environment. Ability to travel to all campus locations required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in discipline
- 18 credits in the specific discipline
- Demonstrated ability to work with various populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures
- Experience with instructional technology
- Ability to travel to all campus locations
- Speak in English via Phone or In Person
- Close, Distance, Peripheral, and Color Vision along with Depth Perceptions
- Ability to Adjust and Focus
- Sitting
- Carrying
- Up to 25 lbs.
- Talking or hearing
- Normal Office environment with little, if, any, discomfort due to heat, dust, noise and the like
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer teaching experience at the college level
