Adjunct Pool Nursing Instructor

Job Summary
Teach assigned nursing courses across Muskegon Community College's main campus, extension centers, and clinical sites in West Michigan, covering day and night shifts. Facilitate student learning through traditional and non-traditional instructional methods while managing curriculum development, assessment, and grading assignments to meet institutional deadlines. Provide educational assistance during office hours or by appointment, maintain professional knowledge with required compliance training, and prepare reports on student learning outcomes. Submit unofficial transcripts and encourage student survey completion to support retention and success. Classes must be conducted on time for the full allotted duration within a normal office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Unofficial Transcripts must be submitted
- MSN preferred, BSN may be considered for some positions
- Minimum two years' professional experience in nursing
- Demonstrated ability to work with all populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities and cultures
- Experience with instructional technology
- Possess excellent communication skills including verbal and written
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations
- Speak in English via Phone or In Person
- Close, Distance, Peripheral, and Color Vision along with Depth Perceptions
- Ability to Adjust and Focus
- Ability to travel to all campus locations required
Desired Qualifications
- BSN may be considered for some positions
- Minimum two years' professional experience in nursing
- clinical instruction/teaching experience preferred
- Prefer teaching experience at the college level
- Experience with instructional technology preferred
