Job Summary
Teach introductory psychology and advanced clinical topics at the undergraduate level within a Christian liberal arts context. Engage in personal scholarship with students and participate in departmental activities and governance. Contribute to preparing students for post-graduate careers and meet with students as necessary. This part-time role begins Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027 with a salary range of $5,013 - $6,684 based on units. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to Christian liberal arts education and active church involvement.
Required Qualifications
- MA in the field for lower division courses or PhD in the field for upper division courses
- licensed if conducting student group supervision
- Thorough commitment to the concept of Christian liberal arts education
- desire to work in a Christian university
- Supportive of the religious and educational goals of the university and its sponsoring denomination
- Evidence of Christian commitment
- active church involvement
- live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant
- successful completion of a background check
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of teaching or professional experience
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching students from diverse backgrounds
