Job Summary
Adjunct teaching opportunities in the ESL/ALP Program at Bergen Community College for Fall and Winter 2026. The ESL/ALP Department provides courses in Grammar, Reading, Writing, and Speaking/Listening across four levels (Beginner to Advanced). Responsibilities include teaching ESL to diverse student populations, assessing placement test results to determine starting levels, and supporting students’ academic, professional, and personal goals. Requirements include a Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics and at least one full year of ESL teaching experience (preferably at a community college). Pay rates are per credit ($938 with an Associate’s, $950 with a Bachelor’s, and $960 with a Master’s), with tuition waiver available for Bergen Community College courses.
