Job Summary
Facilitate online nursing courses for the Nurse Practitioner Program by maintaining curriculum integrity, reviewing and revising materials, and grading all assignments and discussion posts within established timelines. Respond to student communications within two business days, monitor attendance and progress to provide corrective action when needed, and deliver substantial feedback on assignments. Promote discussion board participation and encourage course evaluations. Assist with monitoring student precepted practicum experiences and participate in research, scholarly projects, accreditation activities, and program committees under the guidance of the Program Chair and Dean. Maintain RN/APRN state licensure and an unencumbered advanced practice license.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university with a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Must possess an unencumbered Registered Nursing License and an advanced practice nursing license
- Clinical nursing experience in a specific population
- Two years of teaching in a college or university setting
- Indication of scholarly work
