Job Summary
Teach graduate-level Medical Physiology within the Physician Associate Program using evidence-based strategies like case-based learning and active instruction. Integrate physiological principles with clinical applications to support student development in disease processes and patient care. Develop, administer, and evaluate assessments while providing timely feedback and maintaining accurate course records. Collaborate with faculty on curricular integration, sequencing, and continuous quality improvement processes. Maintain compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Physiology, Biomedical Sciences, Anatomy and Physiology, Medicine, Physician Associate Studies, or a closely related health sciences discipline
- Experience teaching medical physiology at the graduate and/or professional level
- Demonstrated expertise in human physiology and its clinical application
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Commitment to excellence in graduate health professions education and student success
Desired Qualifications
- Terminal degree (PhD, MD, DO, DSc, DMSc, EdD, or equivalent) in a related discipline
- Experience teaching physiology within a Physician Associate, medical, nursing, or other graduate health professions program
- Experience integrating case-based instruction and active learning strategies into graduate-level courses
- Familiarity with curriculum assessment and continuous quality improvement processes in health professions education
