Job Summary
Teach HVAC/R, building energy management, and building automation technology-focused courses, including introductory electronics, delivering instruction in both on-site and hybrid modes. Take ownership of course development and lab/classroom instruction within the Building Energy Management program, covering topics such as building automation systems, HVAC-R BAS labs, and installation and maintenance. Credit hours per semester are determined by the faculty employment agreement. This role supports Franklin Cummings Tech's mission to deliver transformative technical education to over 1,000 learners annually, with a goal to increase enrollment to 1,500 by 2030.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in the field (HVAC-R engineering, energy management, or electrical engineering)
- Two (2) years of teaching experience, preferably at the college level
- Three (3) years of industry experience may be substituted for teaching experience at the discretion of the Academic Dean and the hiring Program Chair
- Ability to teach additional courses in the Engineering Technology program such as Intro to Electricity, Electronics and Digital Principles
- Ability to teach additional courses in the Engineering Technology program such as Electronics and Digital Principles
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
