Job Summary
Deliver courses at the BSW and MSW levels, including Mental Health, Research Methods, and Field Practicum, while preparing teaching materials and maintaining student records in Canvas. Lead weekly seminars and conduct agency visits for students, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment across in-person, online, and hybrid modalities. Communicate effectively with students, employees, and the public, and serve as a Christian role model by integrating faith into teaching, scholarship, and service. Demonstrate cross-cultural competence and humility while adhering to the university's theology of diversity. Submit a one-page essay detailing personal Christian faith and its application to teaching and ministry as part of the application process. Review of applications begins on a rolling basis and continues until the position is filled.
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- A commitment to the University's Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ
- Expressing Christian testimony in a church
- Agreeing to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement
- Affirming the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith
- A broad generalist background in social work or a related field
- Expertise in one or more of the course subject areas listed below
