Job Summary
Adjunct Instructor to teach U.S. History courses HIS-101 (1600–1877) and HIS-102 (1877–Present) remotely. Responsibilities include developing and delivering course content aligned with Cal-GETC Area 4 Social Sciences and CSU US History/Institutions requirements, documenting and assessing Student Learning Outcomes per ACCJC Standard II.A.4, maintaining currency with historical scholarship, teaching 5-week accelerated terms multiple times per academic year, and fulfilling Standard Faculty Responsibilities (RSI, weekly RSI Self-Log, SLO assessment, timely grading and feedback within 48 hours, participation in faculty development and Curriculum Committee processes, and compliance with institutional policies such as IPM, FERPA, and Title IX). Preferred qualifications include PhD in History (American History concentration preferred), community college/university teaching experience, familiarity with C-ID HIST descriptors, and online teaching experience. This is a remote position.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in History, OR Bachelor's degree in History + Master's degree in Political Science, Humanities, Geography, Area Studies, or related discipline, OR Equivalent qualifications as approved through TTC's faculty equivalency process
