Job Summary

Lead curriculum integration and deliver specialized coursework in nutrition, rural health, and indigenous contexts for the MPH and DrPH programs via Learning Management Systems. Collaborate with Program Directors to advance educational offerings while participating in student assessment and providing feedback to ensure CEPH accreditation standards are met. Manage data privacy for research and community health projects in strict compliance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations. Support the Dean's mission of a student-centered, equity-minded institution through online instruction and mentorship.

Required Qualifications

  • Terminal degree: PhD, EdD, DrPH, DO, or MD (with current Board certification in appropriate area of specialization if applicable)
  • Master's degree in public health, nutrition, nutritional science, or a related population health discipline
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of full-time academic experience at a College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Allopathic Medicine, Academic Health Care Teaching Center, or Graduate Medical Education Program, or within a federal, tribal, or state public health agency
  • Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies
  • Proficiency in delivering healthcare education online
  • Knowledge of varied curriculum templates, educational formats, and emerging instructional technologies
  • Ability to mentor and motivate students toward academic and professional excellence
  • Depth of knowledge in medical, psychological, or social disciplines required for population health education
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse learners and stakeholders
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office
  • Display professionalism for the college in all communication and interactions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Ability to prioritize and organize numerous and varied assignments
  • Ability to orally communicate effectively with others with strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels
  • Ability to understand oral and written information, using the English language, and organize thoughts and ideas into effective forms of communication
  • Ability to make decisions which range from moderate to a significant impact on the immediate work environment, as well as outside contributors
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of ACHE to a variety of business and community customers and associates
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
  • Expertise in negotiation
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

Desired Qualifications

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of full-time academic experience in a health profession or graduate medical education setting
  • Demonstrated productivity in professional service and a proven track record of meaningful community engagement, including community-based participatory research, public health advocacy, and the development of sustainable partnerships with local and regional stakeholders
  • Experience with the CEPH accreditation process and outcomes assessment
