Job Summary
The Adjunct Instructor of First Year Seminar and Undergraduate Studies is responsible for teaching process writing skills, advising students within the Undergraduate Studies area, and supporting various seminar courses. Candidates should have a master's or terminal degree in the appropriate discipline, or a bachelor's degree with equivalent professional experience. Experience with first-year students, diverse populations, and teaching writing-intensive courses is essential. Instructors are expected to facilitate engaging and interactive learning environments while committing to student learning and assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or terminal degree in the discipline taught or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in the discipline taught or a related field, plus equivalency of Master’s degree in years of professional experience in the field
- Demonstrated teaching potential
