Job Summary
The Adjunct Instructor of Exercise and Sport Science will teach various courses within the Sport and Exercise Science curriculum, assign grades, and complete necessary course assessments. Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of one year of teaching experience in online or hybrid formats. Knowledge of instructional technologies and software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, along with the ability to apply diverse instructional strategies to cater to different learner demographics.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in appropriate area for courses to be taught
- Demonstrated teaching experience
- Minimum of one year experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment
- Understanding of competencies required for specific courses
- Excellence in teaching and facilitating the learning process for students
- Applying diverse instructional strategies, including use of technology, in response to learner demographics and learning styles
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the profession
- Previous teaching experience at the high school or post-secondary level
- Certification or license appropriate to specialty (e.g., NATA, ACSM, NSCA)
