Job Summary
Adjunct Instructor of Auto to teach automotive technology courses in classroom and lab/shop settings, covering engine repair, electrical/electronic systems, brakes, steering and suspension, engine performance, HVAC, transmissions, and hybrid/electric vehicle technologies; responsibilities include developing lesson plans, laboratory exercises, maintaining records, utilizing Canvas LMS, ensuring safety per OSHA standards, promoting professionalism and workforce readiness, and participating in curriculum and program improvement initiatives. Prior experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and service operations is required; ASE certification preferred; evening availability indicated. Adjunct pay is based on $910 per credit hour. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional automotive service industry experience.
- Current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification(s) preferred
- Demonstrated experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and service operations.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively teach and mentor students with diverse educational backgrounds.
- Day and evening availability
