Adjunct Instructor Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) Program

Job Summary
Teach assigned MSFP courses onsite at the College's King of Prussia, PA campus once weekly for 8- to 10-week terms, alongside online delivery using synchronous and asynchronous modalities. Support student success through timely faculty-student engagements and foster a welcoming classroom community to aid persistence and progression. Report to the MSFP Program Director and collaborate effectively with the faculty team to reflect The College's values. Requires a terminal degree in financial planning, five years of practitioner experience, and relevant expertise in courses covering executive leadership, behavioral finance, insurance planning, ethics, financial psychology, therapy, retirement products, and capstone case development.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be able to deliver instruction both in person at our King of Prussia, PA location and virtually through online learning platforms.
- The applicant must have a strong interest in maintaining the quality and relevance of the MSFP program, which is delivered through a combination of onsite and online instruction.
- The Adjunct Instructor must be able to effectively reflect the values of The College to the industry, the public, and accreditation agency representatives.
- This position requires the Adjunct Instructor to teach onsite at the College's King of Prussia, PA campus, with assigned courses meeting once per week over an 8- to 10-week term, as well as to teach courses online.
- A terminal degree (e.g., doctorate) in financial planning or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time financial planning practitioner experience.
- Achievement and maintenance of program-specific designations may be required. They include, but are not limited to: Required Industry Designations: CFP®
- Must have relevant education, professional experience, and subject-matter expertise required to teach one or more of the following MSFP courses: MSFP 500 Graduate Orientation, MSFP 505 Executive Leadership Presence, Teams, Communication, and Coaching, MSFP 536 Behavioral Finance, MSFP 555 Fundamentals of Insurance Planning, MSFP 582 Ethical Behaviors in Financial Planning, MSFP 591 Financial Psychology, MSFP 592 Financial Therapy and Counseling, MSFP 602 Retirement Financial Products, MSFP 65...
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with peers, students, and prospective students.
- Must be able to work effectively as a member of The College's faculty team
Desired Qualifications
- Achievement and maintenance of program-specific designations may be required. They include, but are not limited to: Preferred Industry Designations: AFC®, CFA®, CPA®, EA®.
- Preferred The American College Designations: ChFC®, CAP®, CLU®, RICP®, WMCP®, CLF®.
- Significant levels of practitioner experience and expertise may be permitted as alternatives to some designations.
