Job Summary
Provide course instruction in accordance with institutionally-approved learning outcomes, advancing student learning through exemplary delivery of Industrial Technology Maintenance and Mechanical content. Facilitate organized course activities that encourage critical thinking while modeling effective oral and written communication to improve student engagement. Establish clear expectations, ensure material correspondence to learning objectives, and provide timely feedback on assignments and exams with consistent grading. Maintain student records as required by NCMC and remain current on subject-matter and effective teaching strategies. Adhere to NCMC policies and attend required meetings and college functions. This part-time, as-needed role involves on-ground instruction at the Savannah Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Technology or related field
- Experience in an industrial and/or agricultural technology setting
- Work background in machinery maintenance and repair
- Work background in hydraulics
- Work background in electricity
- Work background in electronics
- Work background in measurement
- Work background in controls
- Work background in automation
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong verbal skills
- Strong written skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Proven analytical skills
- Proven time management skills
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must be able to use machinery
- Must be able to move about between buildings on the NCMC campus

- Must be able to teach in a classroom setting for extended periods
- Must be able to work in a shop environment
- Must be able to work with exposure to machinery
- Must be able to work with exposure to loud noise
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Technology or related field (preferred)
- Significant professional experience (may substitute for education requirements)
- Experience in teaching or training (preferred)
