Job Summary
Part-time adjunct faculty member for RHIN 100: Introduction to Health Informatics—Clinical Foundations and Healthcare Workflows in Brandeis University’s Online Health Informatics Program. Responsibilities include organizing and delivering the asynchronous 8-week 3-credit course, maintaining timely communication through announcements, hosting live introductory sessions, facilitating weekly online discourse, providing rubric-based feedback on student work, and ensuring accessibility and technical visibility standards. Requires an advanced degree in a related field, professional healthcare experience focused on informatics and clinical workflows, at least 5 years in healthcare data management, strong EHR knowledge, and proven online teaching ability. Preferred candidates have online graduate-level teaching experience and familiarity with Moodle LMS and digital authoring tools. Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Health Informatics, Information Science, Health Services, or a related field
- Professional experience in healthcare with a focus on health informatics, clinical workflows and delivery models, and knowledge of healthcare data collection
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a healthcare environment with responsibilities related to healthcare data management
- Strong knowledge of healthcare information technology, electronic health records (EHRs), and current trends
- Experience with online instruction
- Excellent communication and teaching skills in an online learning environment
