Job Summary
Individuals appointed will primarily teach courses within Health & Exercise Science and Outdoor Adventure Leadership at the adjunct instructor level. Responsibilities include course preparation, direct instruction, student assessment, academic advising, and maintaining office hours. A Master’s or terminal degree in the discipline taught is required, or a Bachelor’s degree plus professional experience equivalency. Demonstrated teaching potential and familiarity with discipline-related equipment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or terminal degree in the discipline taught or related field for Adjunct Instructor position; OR a Bachelor’s degree with equivalency of Master’s degree in years of professional experience.
- Familiarity with appropriate equipment as required for the discipline.
- Demonstrated teaching potential.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in the discipline taught, or a related field.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and active participation in the life of the institution.
- Commitment to student learning, retention, support, and assessment.
- Professional experience in the field related to teaching assignment, particularly if working with more advanced students.
