Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Master's degree in the field of psychology or a closely related discipline
• •PhD or PsyD degree
• •Professional experience in the field of psychology through current or prior employment in a municipal, state, or federal agency, or in the private sector
• •Willingness and ability to pass a background check
• •Ability to meet all documentation requirements related to working with minors

Desired Qualifications

• •Master's degree and an additional 18 graduate credit hours in psychology
• •Experience as a professional in the field
• •Doctorate
• •Prior teaching in a college and/or university setting
• •Teaching experience
• •Strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level
• •Evidence of effective teaching to diverse learners
• •Experience in promoting and fostering a supportive learning environment using a variety of methodologies
• •Current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies
• •Experience utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources
• •Ability to assess students' performance through a range of measurement activities
• •Ability to provide accurate assessments of and rich feedback on student work
• •Ability to communicate with students through electronic and other means of communication
• •Ability to communicate with high school personnel and administration
• •Ability to utilize technology to facilitate learning and to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others
• •Ability to assist in the development, distribution, and collection of assessments for courses and program objectives
• •Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and oral
• •Ability to employ positive and professional tone in all communications with students, staff, and faculty
• •Ability to provide direction and leadership within the classroom by displaying an effective working knowledge of the subject matter
• •Ability to demonstrate best practices relating to teaching/instructional techniques
• •Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues, and college administration
• •Commitment to lifelong learning through participation in professional development activities
• •Ability to adhere to Tiffin University policies and procedures
• •Ability to respond to all student requests for help within 24 hours by email, phone, or instant messaging
• •Ability to participate in ongoing training and attend institutional meetings as required

• •Experience and graduate education in the fields of psychology and sociology
• •Interest in teaching College Credit Plus (CCP) courses in psychology and sociology in local high schools
• •Willingness to teach College Credit Plus (CCP) courses in psychology and sociology in local high schools
• •Experience teaching seated, in-person classes
• •Ability to teach seated, in-person classes
• •Ability to instruct and supervise a diverse population of students in the classroom
• •Commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence
