Job Summary
Facilitate student matriculation in associate baccalaureate programs and transfers to other colleges while developing course syllabi, assessment instruments, and educational materials for Haskell Indian Nations University. Implement and update curricula to ensure student learning meets national, state, and local requirements, and access software applications to report data on learning and assessment outcomes. Hold one office hour per 3 credit hour course weekly to answer student questions and assist in course completion, then submit grades before 4:00 pm to the Office of the Vice-President for Academics. Administer end-of-course evaluations and adhere to university accreditation requirements for academic policies.
Required Qualifications
- Master's, a terminal degree, or an appropriate graduate degree in the subject matter being taught -- EXCEPT for Indigenous languages
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
- A clear communicator
- Able to teach with ample real-world experience
- Able to show confidence when teaching and presenting to a class
- Technologically savvy: can utilize email, different online learning systems, and other ways to communicate with students
- Passionate about specific academic fields and education in general
- Clearly understands curriculum design, pedagogy, and learning outcome alignment
