Job Summary
Instruct Nursing Chemistry Fundamentals, delivering lectures and leading a 3-hour laboratory with recitation and hands-on work. Prepare course materials including syllabi, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental goals. Provide student guidance through regular feedback, office hours, and appointment availability. Maintain course records, grade assignments, and submit final grades in a timely manner. Use college learning management systems to deliver instruction and coordinate with course coordinators and laboratory staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Demonstrated experience within the field of Chemistry
- Must have computer skills to include knowledgeable use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Show proficiency in oral and written communications with the ability to generate high-quality classroom materials
- Demonstrate the ability to clearly and engagingly present information, lead class activities, and facilitate student learning
- Have leadership abilities to guide students in hands-on, design, or technology management in the laboratory setting
- Demonstrate commitment to student success and academic excellence
