Job Summary
The Adjunct Instructor - Design is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lectures, seminars, and laboratory offerings to undergraduate and graduate students. The role requires the development of course syllabi, selection of instructional materials, and design of assessments like exams and quizzes. Successful candidates will assess student performance, provide timely feedback, engage students in active learning, and incorporate innovative teaching methods. A masters degree in Design or a closely related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline, along with excellent communication skills, is required. Successful candidates will teach part-time and may handle courses in both in-person and approved online formats.
Required Qualifications
- Earned masters degree in Design or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Desired Qualifications
- Earned doctorate/terminal degree in Design or a closely related field from an accredited university
- Previous online teaching experience at the collegiate level
