Job Summary
Adjunct Instructor to teach Foundations of Patient Care for Fall 2026, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am–1 pm. In-person on campus at Newton location. Instructors prepare and teach per the department-approved master syllabus, and assess course learning outcomes. Candidates should hold a Masters degree in nursing, an active RN license, and at least 2 years of direct patient care experience. Prior higher education teaching experience and familiarity with Canvas LMS are preferred. Adjunct pay is based on $910 per credit hour.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Current, active, and unencumbered license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience in a clinical setting
- Instructional staff must be current and competent in the certifications in the core curriculum objectives included in their assigned teaching
- Prior Higher Education teaching experience and teaching experience at the community college level strongly preferred
- Learning Management System (LMS) knowledge (Canvas) preferred
