Job Summary
Instruct lecture classes in Psychology at Grayson College, adhering to academic standards and ensuring students reach learning outcomes. Teach no more than 9 credit hours per semester across dual credit high schools, South Campus, or Main Campus. Collaborate with the Social Sciences Department, comply with college policies, and contribute to campus assessment by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean, Associate Dean, or Department Chair. Earn $700 per credit hour. Submit a Grayson College application, résumé, transcripts, and three professional references; this security-sensitive role requires a criminal background check.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher with 18 hours of graduate courses in Psychology from an accredited college or university
- Previous successful experience teaching in the area of Psychology at the university or community college level
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process
- Proven commitment to student success
- Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments
- Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans
- Excellent computer and multi-media skills
- Criminal background check
