Job Summary
Teach college credit courses covering Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, and web design software while trading all class coursework and assigning final grades. Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to meet with students, assist with program development, and participate in department meetings. Develop new courses for the Graphics and Digital Media programs, create promotional materials, and maintain laboratory conditions conducive to learning. Support student recruitment, retention, and placement, and adopt emerging software technologies as they appear in the market. Assume day or evening teaching assignments across four-county campuses as required by the schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field
- Appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
- Ability to sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, telephone, and other equipment as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching and at least three years of documented industry experience in Graphic Design, Video Production, Computer Animation, Game Development or Web Publishing
