Job Summary
Travel to facility or site locations within 60 miles of your residency to directly observe student performance and establish professional working relationships with cooperating health care organizations. Maintain effective communication with students, preceptors, the Office of Field Experience, and course faculty while encouraging learner responsibility and deriving workable solutions for difficulties. Apply evaluation procedures, document records in Typhon external software, and supply results to the GCU Course Faculty to ensure program accreditation compliance. Uphold the tenets of nursing and the University's Christian worldview, Doctrinal Statement, and Mission by providing a positive example and supporting service to the community.
Required Qualifications
- MSN: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Minimum of two 2 years professional experience in an FNP role
- Active, current, and unencumbered FNP state license
- Active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license
- National board certification – FNP specific
- Successfully pass a drug test
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students
