Job Summary
Coordinate and instruct Fire Science academic courses, preparing, grading, and assigning final grades while integrating computer software and technology-based instruction. Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment and serve as a liaison and resource to the fire service community and public-school systems. Participate in department, division, and adjunct faculty meetings and complete other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree with Florida Certified Fire Fighter and Instructor Certification 1, 2, or 3. Compensation ranges from $690 to $775 per credit, with application open until filled.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a major in a related field
- Florida Certified Fire Fighter certification
- Florida Instructor Certification 1, 2 or 3
- Public speaking ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Windows based applications

- Ability to participate in physical activities related to firefighting
