Job Summary
Deliver assigned welding classes in a blended format with online lectures and in-person lab sessions, covering Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, and Gas Tungsten Arc welding techniques. Create and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments while managing student records and grades. Engage students through active teaching strategies to foster a positive learning environment and ensure compliance with safety procedures and college policies. Teach during day or evening sessions across the Bloomington campus and Morgan County, with a maximum of 13 hours per week at a rate of $46.75 per contact hour.
Required Qualifications
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (STICK)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG)
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG)
- Option 1: minimum is associates degree + 5 years experience
- Option 2: Possesses a Department of Labor, Bureau for Apprenticeship Training recognized journeyman's card in the discipline directly related to credentials, certifications, and competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR), and in journeyman status for two years or more with experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR) And, possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum...
- Option 3: Possesses any specialized certifications or credentials required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR) And, 5 years directly related work experience in the field that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR)
