Job Summary

Teach Community Navigation to first-year Threshold Program students, covering MBTA transit systems, trip planning, route selection, and safety practices. Lead curriculum development for students with diverse learning challenges while fostering inclusive, student-centered teaching practices. Participate in virtual staff meetings on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and deliver two in-person sections on Fridays during Fall Semester 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related field
  • Prior experience working with children or adults with disabilities in a school setting
  • Ability to develop and administer curriculum to students with diverse learning challenges
  • Demonstrated commitment to communicative, student-centered, inclusive, and equitable teaching practices
  • Prior experience success using digital technology to achieve program goals
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skill
  • Part time
  • In-person, On-Campus
  • Fridays from 12:55 pm - 2:10pm (in-person)
  • Fridays from 2:30 pm - 3:45pm (in-person)
  • Available to participate in virtual staff meetings on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
