Job Summary
Teach students effectively in assigned classes and maintain office hours for student consultation. Provide written course syllabi, evaluate instructional processes, and revise curricula to improve learning outcomes. Maintain accurate course records, participate in student advising, and utilize technology to access data and generate reports. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals, serve on college committees, and promote the institution through community marketing activities. Complete required professional development training and attend campus commencement exercises as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in any discipline
- Graduate of an education program in Surgical Technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency
- Credential in the field of Surgical Technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCAA)
- Two years' experience in either the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology within the past 5 years
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in successfully working with diverse populations
- The ability to provide quality customer service
- May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Position requires regular and predictable attendance
- Must be subject to a criminal background check
- Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check
