Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty: Studio Art position in the Art & Design department focused on Studio Arts. Responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, designing and implementing curricula aligned with institutional standards and industry trends, and fostering students’ theoretical and practical skills. Collaborates with full-time faculty, engages students through lectures, discussions, workshops, and hands-on projects, assesses performance with constructive feedback, maintains attendance and course materials records, and participates in departmental activities and curriculum development. Strong emphasis on effective communication, organizational skills, and mentorship to support student career development in the arts and design. Experience with online or hybrid teaching modalities and educational technologies is preferred. On-site at Brenau University’s Historic Gainesville Campus in Gainesville, GA; travel is minimal. Includes adherence to Title IX guidelines and participation in various safety and compliance checks as described. Requires a Master’s degree and demonstrated studio arts expertise; prior post-secondary teaching experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Digital Design or related disciplines
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in studio arts, design and the creative industry
- Prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level or equivalent instructional experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse student populations
