Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty in Spanish delivering on-campus daytime classes at Ivy Tech. Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with college policy and course objectives, using available technology to enhance instruction, and supplementing/altering lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials as appropriate. Maintain accurate student records and grades; engage proactively with students to create a positive learning experience; develop teaching strategies that engage students and reflect diverse backgrounds; interact professionally with students and co-workers while complying with FERPA and other regulatory standards; maintain a safe, high-quality educational environment; participate in duties associated with fulfilling the role, recognizing that responsibilities may evolve within the FERPA framework and college policies. The role is on-campus during daytime hours and aligns with Ivy Tech’s commitment to supporting part-time employees and student success.
Required Qualifications
- Earned master’s degree or higher in Spanish language or Spanish literature from a regionally accredited institution; OR Earned master's or higher in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in Spanish language or Spanish literature; OR Native Spanish speaker with a master’s degree and the equivalent of two years of secondary or postsecondary teaching experience in Spanish or a related area (e.g., linguistics or another language)
