Job Summary
University of Redlands is seeking part-time Adjunct Faculty for short-term teaching in the Department of Teaching and Learning within the School of Education. Candidates will be expected to design and teach credential and master’s level courses, engage with diverse student populations, and demonstrate commitment to educational advocacy and social justice. Candidates must possess a master’s degree or doctorate related to teacher education, at least three years of relevant teaching experience, and knowledge of effective teaching strategies and academic content standards. Experience with educational technologies is required, with specific credentials needed based on the program taught.
Required Qualifications
- An earned master’s degree or doctorate in a field related to teacher education.
- Experience working with a diverse range of adult and young adult learners.
- A strong grasp of academic content standards and evidence of effective teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with the integration of educational technologies.
- Teacher Preparation (Teaching credential required).
- A minimum of three years teaching in a public-school setting.
- School Counselor Preparation (Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required).
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LPCC, CDAC, PsyD, or MFT licensure required).
- School and District Leadership/Educational Administration (Administrative Services credential required).
Desired Qualifications
- Evidence of exemplary teaching at the university level.
- Evidence of an understanding of course and program design principles.
- Experience/interest in online teaching.
- Demonstrated excellence in supervisory work with student teachers.
