Job Summary

Teach online undergraduate and graduate Public Health courses as assigned, delivering instruction in person or through approved modalities using the Canvas learning management system. Design and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with program standards while facilitating an engaging environment that supports student participation and critical thinking. Provide virtual academic support through scheduled online office hours and course-related guidance, and evaluate student performance by offering timely feedback on assignments and monitoring academic progress. Maintain regular communication with students and adhere to university policies and accreditation requirements. Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This part-time role supports the 2026-2027 Academic Year at Tarleton State University's Stephenville campus and online community, with successful candidates teaching up to six semester credit hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Earned master's degree in Public Health or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Public Health or the teaching discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate Public Health courses effectively
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems such as Canvas, to support course delivery and student engagement
