Job Summary
Adjunct Faculty in Public Health at East Texas A&M University (Commerce, TX) teaches up to two courses per semester in the Public Health program. Responsibilities include developing/managing syllabi, planning lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments; assessing student performance; mentoring students; and delivering instruction on-campus, off-campus, or online to accommodate student demand. Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field or a terminal degree in the field or closely related area. Preferred qualifications include current professional credentials, college/university teaching experience, evidence of teaching excellence, prior industry experience, and online or hybrid teaching experience. All positions are security-sensitive with criminal history checks, and the institution notes immigration-sponsorship considerations related to H-1B status.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field or terminal degree in the field or closely related field
- Knowledge / Skills: Excellent oral and written communication; ability to multi-task and cooperate with others
- Online or hybrid teaching experience
- College or University teaching experience (preferred)
- Evidence of teaching excellence (preferred)
- Prior relevant industry experience (preferred)
- Current relevant professional credentials (preferred)
