Adjunct Faculty - Public Health

Job Summary
Teach online undergraduate and graduate Public Health courses using Canvas, designing syllabi, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with program standards. Facilitate an engaging virtual learning environment that supports student participation and critical thinking while providing timely feedback on assignments and monitoring academic progress. Deliver scheduled online office hours and course-related guidance to offer virtual academic support, adhering to university policies and accreditation requirements. Serve as a Campus Security Authority. These temporary appointments are for the 2026-2027 Academic Year, with successful candidates teaching up to six semester credit hours across Stephenville and online campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Earned master's degree in Public Health or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Public Health or the teaching discipline
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate Public Health courses effectively
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems such as Canvas, to support course delivery and student engagement
- Knowledge and understanding of disciplinary subject matter at a level adequate for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction
- Written and oral communication skills sufficient to conduct effective teaching activities
- Ability to interact with students, staff, and faculty in a professional, collegial, and collaborative manner

Desired Qualifications
- Earned doctorate/terminal degree (PhD, DrPH or a closely related field) from an accredited institution with graduate coursework appropriate to the teaching discipline
- Previous teaching experience in higher education, particularly in online or hybrid instructional format
- Professional experience in Public Health practice, healthcare systems, health administration, community health, or related areas
- Experience using Canvas or similar learning management systems
- Relevant professional certifications such as CHES/MCHES or CPH
- Expertise in one or more areas of Public Health instruction
