Adjunct Faculty – Physics

Job Summary
Adjunct (part-time), up to two introductory Physics courses per term; teaches face-to-face, online, or hybrid; prepares materials from the course syllabus and delivers content as directed by the dean/chair; meets all scheduled class meetings and provides student consultation outside class; utilizes department policies and accreditation standards; submits attendance records and grades; may participate in departmental and campus activities. Requires a Master's in Physics (or 18+ graduate hours in Physics), prior undergraduate teaching experience, and ability to integrate technology into instruction using Blackboard/D2L/Brightspace. Proficient in communicating in written and oral form; familiar with university policies and assessment practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Physics or at least 18 hrs. of graduate coursework in Physics from an accredited institution
- Prior teaching undergraduate classes for at least two years at an accredited institution is required
- Basic knowledge of Physics curriculum at undergraduate college level
- Ability to integrate technology into instruction, such as: Blackboard, D2L, Brightspace, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
