Job Summary

Maintain compliance with Early College assignment requirements, including contract days, schedules, and events like New Student Orientation and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Provide effective instruction in all course levels by refining curriculum, utilizing alternative delivery technology, and applying learning-centered practices to enhance student outcomes. Participate in assessment of student learning and perform other duties as assigned within the Early College Academy partnership with Weld County District 6. Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field plus current Heartsaver CPR certification
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field plus 2,000 hours of related experience plus current Heartsaver CPR certification
  • Associate's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field plus 4,000 hours of related experience plus current Heartsaver CPR certification
  • Current relevant certification plus 10,000 hours of related experience plus current Heartsaver CPR certification
  • Current Aims Employee or current Aims Student
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday at Early College Academy
  • Availability for some evenings for parent/teacher conferences and other school activities
  • Ability to comply with the requirements of the Early College assignment, including contract days, work-day schedule, and participating in Early College events such as New Student Orientation, Student Registration, In-Service Days and Parent/Teacher Conferences
  • Ability to teach to develop, implement, evaluate and update the purpose, philosophy, objectives and organizational framework of the program
  • Ability to provide effective and high-quality instruction in all levels of course offerings
  • Ability to use alternative delivery technology in lecture and laboratory instruction
  • Ability to apply learning-centered educational practices such as creating and communicating clearly defined outcomes for student learning
  • Ability to participate in assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned
  • Ability to submit academic transcripts from an accredited institution
  • Ability to provide documents within 3 days of hire date to show identity and authorization to work
  • Ability to undergo a criminal background check
  • Ability to undergo industry specific screenings such as an MVR, physical and/or drug screen

Desired Qualifications

  • K-12 teaching experience
  • Experience with concurrent enrollment or dual enrollment programs
  • Experience using technology in the classroom, or teaching online
