Job Summary
Conduct classroom and hands-on instruction in patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures at WSU Tech South. Demonstrate proper techniques, equipment use, safety practices, and infection-control procedures while creating an engaging learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance through assignments, skills demonstrations, and exams, providing timely feedback to support their development. Maintain accurate records and ensure all activities align with program requirements and industry standards. Promote professionalism, patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in the learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current or recent professional experience in healthcare, phlebotomy, EKG, patient care, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience with phlebotomy and/or EKG procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate technical and clinical concepts to students
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience
- Experience working with students or adult learners in a classroom or laboratory setting
- Current industry credentials or certifications related to phlebotomy, EKG, patient care, or another relevant healthcare field
- Experience in a clinical healthcare environment
