Job Summary
Nursing Clinical Adjunct at South University is campus-based and responsible for supervising and teaching clinical and/or laboratory nursing courses. The role involves preparing and delivering course content, creating course materials, grading and debriefing students, articulating course learning outcomes, and collaborating with the Lead Clinical Faculty, Clinical Coordinator, and Program Director. Requires on-campus instruction at the West Palm Beach, FL campus, with responsibilities including office hours, scheduling, and adherence to clinical requirements. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with a Master’s in nursing preferred, 2+ years of clinical experience, 3-5 years bedside experience, Med Surg experience preferred, professional-association membership preferred, strong communication and time-management skills, and proficient computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a master’s degree in nursing preferred
- Two years’ experience in the clinical specialty area
- Med Surg experience preferred
- 3-5 years of bedside experience
- Membership in a professional association related to area of instruction preferred.
- Current knowledge in area of clinical practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.
- Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills
- Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
- Demonstrated clinical competency and professional standards of practice.
